I went and spent a bit of time at Olbrich Botanical Gardens here in Madison yesterday. Took a few photographs...this is one I really liked. I just LOVE the colors of this daylily.
Resized and sharpened slightly. No other postwork was done...this is pretty much straight out of the camera.  Enjoy! -Mike Comments

 Very nice image mike. I also love the colors! The one thing that gets me though is the lighting. I dunno, i am just not feeling it, and I know you do not have much control over that either
 . If the lighting was a bit more dramatic I think we would see a really great variety of the colors at hand. The colors are just great, but I do not like the fact that we do not see darker versions of the colors, I think soft shadows on the actual plant would have created that, but once again I do not think you had much control over the lighting. It is still a great image though, I love the flower in general. The formation is really cool and the colors really match it very well. Great work. Great to see some work other than your usual fair! Lovely crisp image.
